Our journey began in the heart of Bangkok, where we spent years teaching Thai cooking using cherished family recipes passed down through generations. Sharing the depth and richness of Thai cuisine with others was not just a passion; it was a way of life.
Rooted in tradition and inspired by Thailand’s vibrant culinary heritage, we have brought the authentic flavors of Thailand to our new home in Cork, Ireland.
At Thai Foodie, we combine the bold, aromatic tastes of Thai cuisine with the freshness and quality of local Irish produce. Using Thai herbs and spices such as lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime, holy basil, and bird’s eye chili, we create dishes that stay true to Thai roots while highlighting Ireland’s exceptional meats, seafood, vegetables, and dairy.
This is not fusion food. Our focus is on preserving authentic Thai cooking techniques and flavor profiles including sweet, sour, salty, spicy, and umami, while adapting thoughtfully to what the Irish land and sea naturally provide.
